Located just outside West Yellowstone, Montana about 20 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We strive to offer the best camping near Yellowstone National Park! Our friendly staff can not wait to greet you, and do whatever we can to help make your stay the best it can be!

Come and relax in this gorgeous, fun and friendly environment. We are surrounded by mountains in the Gallatin National Forest. We are right on beautiful Hebgen Lake and offer boat slips, boat rentals, and marina gas. We have a variety of RV & tent sites, and many of those sites have lake and mountain views with shade trees.

Don’t have a camper? We have you covered with our RV camper rental options. For non campers, we have  have three rustic cabins & two cottages, each with their own special features. Spending your extended stay at Madison Arm Resort means you’re in good company. Get to know the friendly faces of your fellow campers and the camp staff. Site prices include up to 2 people per site ($5 per extra person up to 6 people max per site|$15 per extra person for cabins/cottages), and 2 licensed vehicles (including all trailer types). Please use the map to select your desired site, but pay attention to the max size RV and tent allowed in each space.

For guests who may arrive outside of our usual business hours, your reserved site information will be available via a posted envelope on the office building window. The next morning, please stop by the Office again to complete the check-in process.

Unique Camp Store

Save a trip to town with our onsite convenience store. We have snacks, ice cream, soft drinks, souvenirs, gifts, supplies, firewood, ice, fishing licenses, & more (Sorry, no onsite tobacco or alcohol sales available).

Motorboat & Watersport Rentals

We rent pontoon boats, 14' & 16' aluminum fishing boats, fishing gear, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, paddle boats, and water bicycles. Boat slips are available for rent as well.

Restrooms & Cleaning Stations

We have two shower houses located in different areas of the property for your convenience. Both shower houses have multiple restrooms and showers that are cleaned daily. A designated fish cleaning station and dish washing stations are available. A laundromat is also available with washers, dryers & clotheslines.

Day Use Sites Available

Don't want to spend the night, but want to enjoy this beautiful property for the day? Contact us for day use availability at $25 per day for up to 6 people.

Free Wireless Internet

We have multiple WiFi antennas allowing you to remain “connected” through the vast majority of our park. Cell phone reception is good with most carriers as the cell towers are on a mountain within view of our camp.

Propane & Fuel

We refill propane tanks, and sell marina grade gasoline (no ethanol & 91 octane) for your boats and other motorized toys. We have gas pumps on land and on the water.

Hiking, Biking & Motorsports

The well connected Gallatin National Forest Trail Route 1731 runs through our campsite. It's open to both motorized and non-motorized vehicles, as well as pedestrians. It's a great way to explore while enjoying your favorite motorsport, or simply on foot with your dog. We can direct you to the best rental companies in town for trail riding toys.

Birding & Wildlife

This area is coveted because it is thriving with wildlife. Pelicans, eagles, otters, moose, elk, deer, bear and more can often be seen from within camp or nearby.

CABINS & RV RENTAL UNITS

  • Check-in time is from 3:00 PM. Early check-in may be available depending on current occupancy levels but can not be guaranteed. Late check-ins will find their details attached to the office door and should check-in with the office in the next morning.
  • Check-out time is by 10:00 AM.
  • Late check-out may result in additional charges and must be approved by management.

CAMPSITES

  • Check-in time is from 1:00 PM. Early check-in may be available depending on current occupancy levels but can not be guaranteed. Late check-ins will find their details attached to the office door and should check-in with the office in the next morning.
  • Check-out time is by 11:00 AM.
  • Late check-out may result in additional charges and must be approved by management.

The nearest grocery stores are located in West Yellowstone about 8 miles away. Our campground store has a limited selection of snacks, groceries and supplies for your convenience.

We allow 6 people maximum per site. 2 adults are included in the base price. It is $5 per extra person, per day after 2 people for campsites and $15 per extra person per day for cabins and cottages Children 2 and under do not count towards this quota.

Yes. Pets are allowed in campsites, however, we do not allow pets in our cabins and cottages. Pets are allowed in our RV camper rentals (additional fee may apply). We ask that you keep your pet leashed, and clean up after your pet. Please do not leave pet food out as it can attract wildlife.

Yes, campfires are allowed only in the firepits. We sell firewood in the camp store and online. It is against the law to bring outside wood over state and some county lines.

We do allow day use passes. These passes include campsite, picnic table, fire pit, and use of facilities until 4:00 PM for $25.00 per day.

We do have an ADA wheelchair accessible bathroom and office.

We do sell fishing licenses, however all payment for these transactions must be in cash.

We do sell propane and gasoline. Our gasoline is marine grade 91 octane and contains no ethanol.

Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant. We do sell limited food items in our camp store.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any mail or packages from any agencies, including USPS, UPS and Federal Express. West Yellowstone, Montana, situated at an elevation of approximately 6,664 feet (2,031 meters) , experiences a range of weather conditions from May through October:

– **May**: Springtime brings milder temperatures, with average highs around 61°F (16°C) and lows near 32°F (0°C). Precipitation is relatively high, averaging about 2 inches (51 mm), making May the wettest month of the year.

– **June to August**: Summer months are generally warm, with average highs between 70°F and 78°F (21°C to 26°C) and lows ranging from 37°F to 41°F (3°C to 5°C). Precipitation decreases compared to May, with monthly averages between 1.5 to 2 inches (38 to 51 mm).

– **September**: Early autumn sees a decline in temperatures, with average highs around 61.9°F (16.6°C) and lows near 31.1°F (-0.5°C). Precipitation remains moderate, averaging about 1.57 inches (40 mm).

– **October**: Temperatures continue to drop, with average highs of 44.2°F (6.8°C) and lows around 26.1°F (-3.3°C). Precipitation averages about 1.65 inches (42 mm), and snowfall may begin to occur, signaling the onset of winter conditions.

Due to its high elevation, West Yellowstone experiences cooler temperatures and a shorter growing season compared to lower-altitude regions. Visitors should be prepared for variable weather conditions, especially in the shoulder seasons of May and October.

We do have parking for boat trailers, and we can normally find additional parking if needed. If you have an additional vehicle, please contact us to inquire about additional parking.

Madison Arm Resort is located on Forest Service Road 291. Forestry is responsible for grading the road, but it can sometimes be a bit rough. The ride is a little smoother if you go a little faster (25-30 mph). Generally, it is better to come in from Highway 191, but sometimes the road from Highway 20 is better. Feel free to contact us for current road conditions before your arrival.

Deposits are non-refundable. However, if you cancel at least 24 hours before your check in date and time, you will receive a credit on your account for the deposit amount to be used for a future reservation. Credit expires 1 year from the original reservation date (may be extended at owner’s discretion).

No Show/No Contact: If you fail to arrive on your scheduled reservation date and do not contact us, your deposit will be forfeited. If you have multiple nights reserved, you will have until 10:00 AM the next morning to notify us of your intentions, or your remaining reservation will be cancelled.

No refunds for early departure unless agreed upon with management.
